Eat At Rudy's

A gruesome, pitch black satire in the vein of Creepshow and Tales from the Crypt (both the EC comics and the HBO series), featuring such a uniquely reprehensible protagonist that watching his inevitable downfall will feel both satisfying and sickening

When a tenant can’t make rent, cannibalistic landlord Rudy Naismith is happy to take something else from them instead. But it’s not enough for Rudy: he wants to franchise his ghastly new business. It’s only a matter of time before his insatiable appetite leads him to bite off a bit more than he can chew.

Rudy Naismith is not your typical cruel landlord. Alongside frequent rent hikes and negligence, Rudy is a cannibal who will happily take a toe or a hand in lieu of a missed rent payment. However Rudy’s tenants soon band together to form a class action lawsuit against their avaricious landlord: a lawsuit that his personal lawyers and fixers are unable to combat. With the walls closing in, Rudy seeks an angel investor to help him combat the coming legal storm and, better still, franchise his wretched practices.

As luck would have it, Rudy’s prayers are answered in the form of Oren Boros, a major urban developer who is simply enamored by Rudy’s cannibalistic ideals. The two quickly form a partnership that expands Rudy’s business from a small hobby group into a deeply connected cabal of only the most elite people eaters. Unfortunately for Rudy, his new clientele have much more discerning, ravenous palettes. Has Rudy bitten off more than he can chew?
